CommHIT

CommHIT is a non-profit headquartered at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, with additional locations in U.S. Virgin Islands and Arizona. CommHIT focuses on the discovery and efficiency of processes and technologies dealing with the remote care of people—particularly those in rural, underserved, and other remote areas. Although CommHIT works on “Earth,” CommHIT’s work deals with efforts that can be used for people in space—as they are remote.

CommHIT’s mission is to increase community health, develop workforce, and improve lives by planning & operationalizing complex programs that involve combinations of community, health, & technology in areas that are rural, underserved, or otherwise remote. CommHIT helps communities & businesses access training, technology, and transportation that takes into account the resources they lack or barriers they face.

CommHIT provides services to rural settings in the areas of:

• Digital Security & Risk Management through CommHIT’s Population Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (PH-ISAC)
  Broadband Reimbursements through CommHIT’s FCC-approved Consortium
  Workforce Development and Registered Apprenticeship Programs
  Mobile Integrated Health and Community Paramedicine Program Development and Financial Sustainability
• Provide free real-time threat intel and analysis through the Population Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (PH-ISAC)
• Events at the Kennedy Space Center
• Mobile Integrated Health Program consulting
• Training and industry-recognized credentials for Practice Managers, Community Health Workers, IT Administrators, Digital Security, Telehealth, and Digital Literacy
• FCC Broadband Reimbursements
