In one recent example, we placed seven OB/GYNs across 12 hospital sites — including Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Kings Daughters Medical Center, and Marshall Medical Center — within just three months of beginning the partnership. These placements helped stabilize vital women’s health services and ensure continuity of care for patients in rural communities.

Era’s rural healthcare partnerships deliver measurable results. Over the past two years, Era has partnered with UPMC Healthcare, placing 12 providers across seven UPMC hospitals — four of which are in their most rural service areas.

Similarly, Era has supported OSF HealthCare’s most underserved and rural communities for more than two years, placing at least seven providers across four OSF hospital sites — three of which are rural and underserved.

Rural Success Story

At a rural Louisiana hospital struggling to maintain OB coverage, Era rapidly placed two board-certified physicians who filled more than 15 twenty-four-hour shifts within the first 45 days of engagement. This stabilized the hospital’s labor and delivery service line, eased pressure on internal staff, and prevented costly service interruptions — ensuring that patients could continue to access needed care close to home.
